SCIENCE MUSEUM 2017

Last week, 2nd graders visited the Buffalo Museum of Science.

We predicted, observed, and explained.  We thought critically as we explored all of the hands-on and informational portions of the museum.

Students were able to connect a lot of the exhibits to the science curriculum that we learned in 2nd grade.

Take a peek at our pictures from our adventurous (and exhausting) day!

There are several pictures of the 8 students that were in my group.  There were 2 other groups of 8 led by Mrs. Daniels and Mrs. Leaderstorf.  I’m waiting on more pictures from them.

Polar Express Train Ride

Students had so much fun today riding the Polar Express Train to the North Pole!

While on the bus ride to the Arcade & Attica Railroad, children observed the attributes of rural areas!  For a few of the students, it was their first time in a rural area!

Upon arriving, the conductor gave us our tickets which were later punched!  We boarded the train car and turned the seats to face each other!  Children enjoyed each other’s company while traveling in a historic train that was all decked out in Christmas decorations!  Children ate their lunches and before they knew it, they were in the North Pole!  We walked through Santa’s workshop and got to meet Santa and Mrs. Clause!  On the way home, we enjoyed cookies, cocoa, and Christmas carols!
