I have been teaching for 10 years and have found solutions to almost every dilemma that I’ve come across … except PENCIL SHARPENERS!!!!!!

I have spent hundreds of dollars (literally) and have almost had one-hundred heart-attacks (figuratively) over pencils and their sharpeners.  I have used hand-held, electric plug-ins, battery operated, expensive, cheap, etc. but have had ZERO luck.  I have welts on my fingers from the hand-held ones, have ruined dresses from the lead , holes in the drywall from wall-mounted sharpeners, and have had pencil smudges ruin my newly waxed floors.  Ahhhh!!!!  Why is something that should be so simple, so DIFFICULT??!!

I have searched high and low to find a solution and/or procedure for this.

WELL, I THINK THAT I FINALLY HAVE AN ANSWER 🙂

One day, I was searching online and came across this TEACHER INVENTED SHARPENER.  It doesn’t need to be plugged in or batteries or leave welts in my fingers.  It is well developed, quiet, and simple.  At first, it was different to manipulate but once you get used to it, you can have a whole week’s worth of pencils sharpened in about 20 minutes.  The color meshes well with the classroom decor and BEST of all, the pencils sharpen with a sharp and beautiful tip (almost too sharp, if there’s such a thing)!

Note the blue pencil is pre-sharpened. The wooden brown pencil was sharpened with this product! 🙂

So, the only problem thus far: a kiddo asked me to sharpen her pink colored pencil. . . . . and the tip broke in the sharpener and my boyfriend had to take it all apart to get the tip out.  In the process, he showed me how the handle comes off (shown in image above) to remove lead in the future.

Just found this video (after the fact) :/

All-in-all, I recommend this product to teachers, parents, small business owners, etc! 🙂
