Math is one of my favorite parts of the day! It’s first thing in the morning when the kids are fresh-eyed and bushy-tailed, it is totally hands-on and conceptual, and we get to learn with the kiddos at our tables. Plus, we play a lot of math games!!
Today, we finished a little early so we were able to take some of our boxed games off of the shelf and dust them off! The noise level was perfect, the collaboration was up to par, the conceptual understanding that was taking place was wonderful . . . and they were having fun too!
I snapped some pictures because it was such a beautiful site!
A few topics ago, we were learning about related facts so I bought 7 spatulas (the lady at Family Dollar was so curious why I needed 7 spatulas) and made paper pancakes for the students to flip while practicing their related facts. I also slipped in a little algebra! Here are the pictures!
