Last week, students learned about homophones and homographs.
Homophones are words that have the same pronunciation but different meanings, origins, or spelling, e.g., new and knew.
Homographs are two or more words spelled the same but not necessarily pronounced the same and having different meanings and origins, e.g., bow and bow
We did a variety of activities to learn homonyms!
Working with a partner, students were able to make a poster showing homophones.
