Yesterday, our class had its first Mystery Reader of the year!
Mystery Readers are people that sign up to come in and read a story without telling their child. I give the students clues to try to figure out who is coming in! The Mystery Reader can bring in and read a favorite children’s story of their own, they can read one of my stories, or they can teach us about their cultures and traditions (non-religious).
James’s father, Mr. Rich, surprised the students yesterday! He read us some scary stories for children to get in the mood for Halloween!
If you would like to come in to be a Mystery Reader you can send me an email. I ask parents, grandparents, or aunts or uncles to come in at 10:00 am. If that time isn’t compatible for you, we could attempt to arrange a different time.
