Chick Arrival

Our chicks “arrived” throughout last week.  Students had the opportunity to listen to the chicks tap from the inside as they used their beak tooth to break out.  Students also witnessed the chicks as soon as they hatched.  The chicks were very tired when they first hatched.  Once the chicks had some time to rest in the incubator they were transferred to a tank with food, water, and the other chicks.  Students were allowed to hold and observe them too!  They will stay with us for the rest of the week and then they go home to Mr. Reimer’s farm!
