Today marked the 15th day of incubation for our chicks. They hatch on day 21. Today, we candled the eggs to see which ones were fertile and would hatch. Students watched closely as Mr. Reimers put each egg from the incubator over the light. If you could see through the egg that meant that there is not a chick growing inside. If the light does not shine through the egg, that means that there is a chick growing inside. Students also viewed pictures of what the chick looks like on each day while it develops in the egg. Students asked some really great questions! We are all so excited for the hatching!
